Project Brief: The Public Health Foundation of India is implementing training program on Public Health Management (PHM) for senior public health officials in collaboration with various state governments.

The Public Health

Management (PHM) Training Program has been designed to strengthen managerial and leadership competencies among senior public health officials responsible for planning, implementation, and supervision of health program within the state health system. The program is focused on enhancing skills in systems thinking, program management, evidence-based decision-making, and leadership in public health administration. The program involves conducting 6-day training workshops in different regions across various states.

Job Summary: The position requires technical inputs in training content development/updation, conducting sessions, extensive coordination with government health officials, organizing and managing state and regional level training workshops on Public Health Management for senior government health officials.

Deliverables: The major duties and responsibilities will include:





- Develop draft training curriculum and content on topics/sessions related to public health in consultation with senior faculty/experts.
- Coordinate and assist experts for review and finalization of training content.
- Play an integral role in organizing and managing state and regional level training workshop for senior government health officials.
- Conduct sessions and group activities on relevant public health topics during the program.
- Conduct pre and post assessments and analyse the data.
- Coordinate and liaise with government officials for smooth implementation of the workshop.
- Undertake planning, prepare and disseminate an advanced program schedule, ensure quality of session delivery and undertake participant evaluation.
- Attend and participate in stakeholders’ meetings, and other meetings as needed.
- Report on a day-to-day basis regarding project and seek timely advice wherever necessary.
- Prepare program/batch reports, as well as any other reports as per the requirement of the project.
- Any other task as assigned by the PI.

Qualification: Essential:

- MBBS with Post graduate in Public Health/community medicine. Graduates in allied health science with post graduate degree in public health may also apply.

Desirable:

- Computer proficiency with commonly used software such as Microsoft Office

Experience: Essential:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience of working in health sector, post MBBS.

Desirable:

- Previous experience in training, capacity building, project management desirable.
- Documentation and report writing skills

- Good Interpersonal skills.
