As a Project Manager/Signalling Inspector , you are a qualified engineer with project management experience and a background in assessments within the rail transportation sector, joining our independent certification and verification team. This key role involves ensuring the safety, integrity, and performance of systems across various rail projects. You will work with cutting-edge technologies while adhering to industry standards in a agile and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead projects: manage liaison with clients, assessment teams and other assessment bodies
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including detailed design, systems integration, and verification and validation activities.
- Manage and negotiate contracts with contractors and external stakeholders.
- Apply a risk-based approach to project management to ensure that projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
- Contribute expertise to signalling assessment activities: sound knowledge of signalling systems, including practical experience of CBTC, CBTS and ERTMS/ETCS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of large-scale railway projects.
- Provide technical documentation, including safety assessment plans, and ensure that design and implementation meet project requirements and client expectations.




- Contribute to the company’s growth by participating in tendering activities and staying abreast of opportunities arising in North America.

Skills and Experience:

- Extensive experience in project engineering, systems engineering and safety assurance. Sound knowledge of railway systems
- Proven ability in design engineering, systems integration, verification and validation (V&V;) and commissioning.
- Previous experience in contractor management, contract negotiation and risk management.

Qualifications:

- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications or a related discipline.
- At least 15 years’ experience in the railway industry, particularly in signalling systems, CBTC and telecommunications.
- Proven experience in managing complex, large-scale railway projects in North America or overseas.
- Proven experience in applying CENELEC, RISSB, CMREA or equivalent safety standards.
- Fluency in English; fluency in French would be an asset.
- Ideally: Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or the Engineering Society of Ontario

Experience:

- Experience of working with major rail and infrastructure projects, including roles in project leadership and engineering management.
