Role Description The Project Scheduler is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating project schedules, including creating detailed timelines, sequencing activities, and monitoring critical paths for multiple construction projects.

The Project

Scheduler collaborates daily with project managers, site supervisors, estimators, and other stakeholders to collect progress data, adjust schedules, and identify schedule risks or opportunities. The role includes preparing schedule reports, dashboards, and look-ahead plans, supporting resource and materials planning, and ensuring alignment with key milestones and contractual requirements.





The Project

Scheduler also participates in coordination meetings, supports change management processes, and contributes to continuous improvement of scheduling standards and tools.

Qualifications

- Experience with project scheduling tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar) and strong proficiency in MS Excel.
- Knowledge of construction project lifecycles, including residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial projects, and understanding of sequencing and resource planning.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret project data, identify risks, and propose schedule adjustments.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple schedules and deadlines simultaneously.
- Relevant education such as a diploma or degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in project scheduling or project scheduling and control related to civil and heavy civil projects such as roads, bridges, sewer and watermain are considered an asset.
- Familiarity with industry standards, contracts, and basic cost and change control concepts is beneficial.
