About the Programs

CASA House

You will be part of a team that provides individual, group and family therapy, social and life skills training, and in office schooling in small classroom settings. CASA House is a live-in program for teens who need support with significant mental health and/or addiction challenges. Teens stay at CASA House for an average of four months.

The program involves parents and caregivers as active participants in treatment. Treatment includes individual, group and family therapy, social and life skills training, and on-site schooling in small classroom settings.

Adolescent Day Program (ADP)

You will be part of a team that provides mental health services to teens within a day program setting. ADP works with teens who are facing serious mental health or addiction challenges to improve their social and learning skills. You will help them build on their strengths and develop new skills. Teens attend the program daily during the school year. Areas of focus include interpersonal relationships, problem solving, conflict management, organization and family function.

Job Details

Salary/Wage range: Fee-for-service, supplemented by on-call and administrative sessional payments.

Primary location: Hybrid/Virtual

FTE: Up to 0.4 FTE

Status: Term of up to three years

Multi-site travel required





About the Role The Provincial Medical Lead for CASA House and the Adolescent Day Program (ADP) provides strategic and clinical leadership to advance the expansion of CASA House/ADP programs across the province. This role oversees the integration and delivery of psychiatry across the different sites and engages in community partnerships to support the continuum of care.

The Provincial Medical Lead will:

- Provide provincial medical leadership for Child and Adolescent Psychiatric services across CASA’s ADP and CASA House programs.
- In collaboration with the Medical Director, lead physician workforce planning, recruitment, retention and succession planning.
- Develop provincial standards, care pathways, quality indicators and performance measures.
- Promote equitable access to child and adolescent psychiatric services throughout Alberta.
- Implement and sustain a provincial program model that ensures safe, consistent and high-quality care.
- Support education, research, innovation and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with operational leadership at a provincial level for CASA House and ADP sites to integrate care across programs and ensure effective care coordination.
- Collaborate with provincial, community and health-care partners and ensure alignment with organizational priorities, quality standards, and person-and family-centred care principles.
- Contribute to strategic, operational and business planning.




- Monitor outcomes, incidents and performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.
- Support quality assurance, accreditation readiness, audit responses and implementation of best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

- Doctor of Medicine or equivalent
- Certification or eligibility with the Canadian College of Family Physicians (CCFP) or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
- Subspecialty training and/or designation in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Demonstrated clinical and medical leadership experience
- Strong communication and collaborative leadership skills
- Experience in child and adolescent mental health is an asset
- Eligible for and able to maintain a CASA Medical Staff Appointment

Conditions of Employment

- A satisfactory Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Intervention Check. This would be the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.
- A satisfactory Child Intervention Check.
- Following the interview process, selected candidates must successfully complete the credentialing process prior to being appointed as a member of the medical staff.
- Ability to travel reliably to different CASA sites across the province as required.
