About Us:

Since 2014, Evans Family Counselling & Psychotherapy (EFCP) has provided high quality counselling and psychotherapy services. Voted the 2023 , 2024, and 2025 Hamilton Spectator Diamond/Gold Readers Choice Award for Best Marriage, Family, and Individual Counselling, EFCP provides services for a wide range of issues and concerns for individuals in the Hamilton area and beyond. EFCP is a heart-led practice that specializes in transformational and depth-oriented therapies such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR with a special focus on assisting individuals with complex trauma, and individuals working in the education and healthcare sectors.

The goal of EFCP is to provide respectful, safe, and collaborative care that goes beyond the medical model’s focus on symptom management. At EFCP we understand that transformation comes from addressing root causes. Working as an Independent Contractor (IC) with EFCP offers you freedom and flexibility while allowing you the stability of an established practice.



You will find a supportive atmosphere where your professional passions and specialties can be nourished and encouraged. Clinician self-care is of utmost importance and EFCP values supporting clinician life-long well-being and vitality through on-going collegial relationships, professional mentorship, and mutual accountability. This is a hybrid Independent Contractor position that will require in-person availability in west Hamilton.

The ideal candidate is/has:

- Is a Registered Psychotherapist registered with the CRPO, or a Registered Social Worker registered with the OCSWSSW.
- Has a Masters degree in a relevant field.
- Has experience, training,



and clinical skills in the area of trauma psychotherapy.
- Has a minimum of 2 years of post-graduate (Masters) clinical experience or equivalent. This position is ideally suited for someone who is fully qualified as a RP.
- Has post-graduate training and experience in providing trauma-informed care using bottom-up approaches such as IFS or EMDR, and can provide proof of training in these areas.
- Has experience with and interest in working with families providing family therapy
- Is available to work a minimum of 5 client hours a week, providing services both in-person and through video/phone according to client needs, with the flexibility to increase hours.
- Has evening and/or weekend availability to see clients.
- Is a self-starter who is dedicated to staying in a group practice for the long-term.
- Is dedicated to personal and professional growth to deepen your knowledge and experience your own therapeutic healing.
- Practices with integrity, strong ethics, and emotional maturity.

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract Pay: From $90.00 per hour
