About Us

Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a QA Tester for a contract opportunity. This role will provide expertise in developing and executing test strategies for large-scale data warehouse and analytics modernization programs, including Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, and Azure Data Services. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in office in Toronto, Mississauga, or Guelph.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced QA Tester to support test strategy development and execution for large-scale data warehouse and analytics modernization initiatives. The successful candidate will have solid experience testing modern data platforms, including Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure Data Services, and SQL.

The role is hybrid, with a requirement to work in the office 2 days per week in Toronto, Mississauga, or Guelph.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for large-scale data warehouse and analytics modernization programs
- Design and execute testing for Databricks environments using Python/PySpark
- Perform data validation and testing using SQL
- Test Microsoft Fabric and Power BI solutions
- Validate Azure Data Services and data pipelines
- Perform CI/CD testing and support automated deployment validation
- Validate batch and incremental data loads for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, business stakeholders, and other QA professionals




- Support testing across insurance-related applications and data environments

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience building test strategies for large-scale data warehouse or analytics modernization programs
- Familiarity with Guidewire Insurance Suite, including PolicyCenter and/or ClaimCenter
- Hands-on Databricks testing experience with Python/PySpark
- Strong SQL testing and data validation experience
- Experience testing Azure Data Services
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI testing
- CI/CD testing experience
- Experience validating batch and incremental data loads
- Strong understanding of data warehouse and analytics testing methodologies
- Ability to work hybrid 2 days per week in Toronto, Mississauga, or Guelph

Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM)
- Familiarity with Customer Information File (CIF)
- Experience working within insurance industry environments
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and data quality validation

Compensation

Salary Range: $55.00 - $65.00 / hour
