Inspection & Quality Control: Perform receiving inspections of raw materials and fabrications from suppliers and subcontractors, including physical goods and quality documents, ensuring acceptance, rejection, or correction as required. Conduct in-process and final inspections of fabricated steel and rubber-lined products to verify compliance with drawings, internal standards, customer specifications, and applicable codes. Document inspection results by completing reports, signoffs, and logs.
Build quality document packages for customer submission and review quality documents for subcontracted fabrications.
Technical Expertise: Read and interpret technical drawings and regulatory and customer specifications. Apply knowledge of MTRs, NDE, welding codes, and rubber lining specifications. Bachelor’s degree in a mechanical-related field or 5 years of quality control experience in metal fabrications 2 Level II Weld Inspector certification CGSB Level 2 MPI/LPI certification or eligibility for certification AMPP CIP (NACE) level 1 or 2 certification First Aid certification and confined space entry training Experience with SAP and intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat) We live our values we think safety first, do the right thing, respect each other, aim high, and delight our customers.
