Join Weir as a Quality Control Inspector in Surrey, BC, focusing on metal fabrication and rubber lining. Ensure product compliance through detailed inspections and quality checks. This onsite position involves a split shift, initially training during the day then moving to evenings.
You will conduct inspections of raw materials and fabricated products while documenting results to ensure high standards. Your contributions will drive operational excellence and sustainable practices in mining technology. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections of raw materials and fabricated components
- Document inspection results with reports and logs
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Generate nonconformance reports as necessary
- Commit to a zero harm safety culture
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a mechanical field or 5 years of QC experience
- Minimum 3 years inspecting steel and rubber-lined products
- CSA W178.2 Level II certification
- CGSB certification eligibility
- Experience in an ISO 9001 workplace preferred
