Key Responsibilities
- Assist with visual and dimensional inspections of structural assemblies at fit-up, weld-out, and final stages
- Compile and maintain weld maps, welder continuity logs, and welding procedure records
- Collect, verify, and file material test reports (MTRs) and maintain full material traceability
- Assemble inspection and test plans (ITPs), inspection reports, and final turnover/data packages
- Log non-conformance reports (NCRs) and assist with corrective and preventive actions
- Support hydrotesting, coating inspections, and final release of fabricated products
- Maintain calibration records for inspection, measuring, and test equipment
- Support internal audits and client or third-party inspections
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in a fabrication, welding, or industrial quality control setting
- Able to read isometric, structural, and general fabrication drawings
- Familiarity with CSA W47.1, CSA W59, ASME B31.3, and ASME Section IX an asset
- CWB Level 1 Welding Inspector certification, or willingness to obtain, an asset
- Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and computer skills (Excel, document control)
- Works well with shop personnel, inspectors, and client representatives
