prepare‐for and lead presentation of design stage gate packagesAlign cross‐functional development team to execute the New Product Introduction (NPI) company standard processResponsible for presenting to various levels of cross‐functional leadership in design reviews and business meetingsDevelop and maintain project risk registers including mitigation plans, drive closure of risk actionsResponsible for providing project forecasts and maintaining adherence to project budgets and schedulesUse of JIRA and other project tools for Earn Value Management reportingMaintain project schedules to align with integrated master schedule milestones and customer contract deliverableParticipate in and support the bids and proposal/sales process by providing engineering inputs including feasibility, NRE, risks and schedule estimates for new products or featuresLead project scrums, closely involved in material shortage and build meetingsUnderstand and communicate cause and effect of changes affecting schedule, quality and costCoordinate engineering changes and lead Enterprise Change Assessment (ECA) technical pillar through the change processLead department strategic goal alignment projects as neededMentor and coach junior team members on project management and design best practices, methodologies and lessons learnedUnderstand and comply with the company Quality Management SystemAccountable to the Product Manager and Project Engineering ManagementRequired Education And Experiences9 years of experience leading complex multi-disciplinary technical projects managing several projects concurrentlyUniversity degree in Engineering or college technical diploma and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree,



minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.Desired Skills And CapabilitiesEngineering degree and experience in aerospace industry preferredExperience designing mechanical, electrical, electro‐optical, software/firmware systems/subsystemsExperience presenting technical project content to senior leadership stakeholdersWell‐rounded project management background with experience in a highly technical environmentPMP Certification is an assetP.Eng license is an assetExcellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS ProjectStrong technical communication skills, both written and verbalExcellent project organization and planning skillsStrong interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining and growing relationships with stakeholdersUnderstanding of electro/mechanical/optical/video systemsKnowledge/experience using Atlassian Confluence/JIRAA sense of urgency; dynamic, resourceful, cutting-edge and takes initiativeWorking knowledge of mechanical design, bill of material structures and mechanical design terminologyWorking knowledge of electrical circuit design, circuit board assemblies and electrical design terminologyWorking knowledge of feedback control systems, video standards, grounding/bonding practices and motors/potentiometers/encoders and other electro‐mechanical devicesWorking knowledge of optical assemblies, cameras and laser devices is an assetKnowledge of AS9100 Quality StandardThis posting is for a current vacancy.
