About the role Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary full-time Donor Centre Supervisor to join our dynamic Collections team, leading and supervising the Ancaster Mobiles team. TheCollections Team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services collecting donor blood in a safe manner to enable safe products which save lives every day. Utilizing your excellent customer service skills, you will ensure optimal clinic flow, a high level of service, and compliance with Canadian Blood Services policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety. Leveragingyour superb leadership skills, you will ensurestaff performs duties in an effective, efficient, and professional manner. Utilizing your superior interpersonal and communication skills,
you willinterview, hire, and complete all aspects of performance management, including progressive discipline as required. Drawing on your knowledge and experience, you will ensure each mobile clinic is planned, organized, and managed to provide secure, efficient, and cost-effective blood collection. With your ability to work effectively, you will ensure the needs of the donor, volunteer, and the public are met. Utilizing your proven success in leading a collaborative team, you will provide timely communication to staff, prompt follow-up for donor and staff concerns. At mobile events within our communities, you will assist in setting up booths, tables, and other equipment to ensure donor clinics are properly set up for use. Desired education and skills Successful completion of post-secondary level education in a relevant health sciences discipline from a recognized academic institution. Proven leadership ability is essential, and a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience is preferred. You will have sound knowledge and previous experience in blood collection, regulatory, and continuous quality improvement environments. Experience in platelet apheresis and autologous programs would be considered an asset. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written in English, are essential. French language skills are an asset. Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative.
