Position Overview:

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products, materials, and manufacturing processes meet established safety, reliability, and engineering specifications. They act as the final safeguard before products reach the customer by visually inspecting, testing product components and functionality, documenting defects, and halting the distribution of flawed products.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Walk through the plant or assigned area to ensure manufacturing processes are performed correctly and to code





· Read and understand all work orders; ensure that all orders are correctly measured

· Observe and evaluate the quality of work produced by workers

· Conduct a product performance test to ensure that everything is installed and working properly, adjust if required

· Perform a quality check by inspecting all products at each step meet the established quality standards

· Ensure the Plant Supervisor is informed daily about quality and quantity issues

· Resolve work/machinery problems and request materials and supplies when needed

· Identify and resolve issues related to quality and request Supervisor assistance when needed

· Document quality measures and ensures compliance in programs

· Encourage consistency to improve productivity and efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing in English

· Ability to communicate issues/problems to Supervisors

· Ability to conduct basic math calculations

· Ability to work independently or on a team, and to work with limited supervision

· A positive attitude

· Must be 18 years of age or older; legally authorized to work in Canada

· Previous manufacturing and production experience

· Fluent English speaking and writing skills

· Strong working knowledge in Microsoft applications including the use of tablets and Microsoft Forms

· Ability to use specialized equipment for product testing

· Ability to read a tape measure within 1/32 of an inch

Pay: From $23.38 per hour
