East Coast Wild Blueberry is hiring a Quality Supervisor for a 12-month term at our food processing facility in Glenholme, Nova Scotia.

The Quality Supervisor will help maintain our food safety and quality programs, review quality records, support audits, train employees, and work with Production and Operations to make sure procedures are being followed.

Responsibilities

- Maintain and update quality forms, SOPs, and controlled documents
- Review completed quality and production records
- Support customer, regulatory, and third-party audits
- Maintain employee quality training records and assist with training
- Review customer specifications and quality requirements
- Follow up on customer complaints and quality concerns
- Maintain trend reports for quality results, complaints, and foreign material
- Monitor product and laboratory testing results
- Ensure measuring and monitoring equipment is calibrated as required
- Coordinate pest-control documentation and service requirements
- Complete production-floor inspections on different shifts as needed
- Identify quality or food safety concerns and work with Production and Operations to address them
- Support corrective actions, investigations, and continuous improvement
- Maintain organized electronic quality records

Qualifications
- Education in food science, food safety, biology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in commercial food production




- Previous quality assurance or quality control experience
- HACCP training or certification
- Food safety auditing experience
- Experience with document control
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable training and working with employees on quality and food safety procedures

Work Environment
- Full time, in-person position
- Combination of office and production-floor work
- Working in ambient, cool, and cold temperatures
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Overtime may be required
- Occasional work on different shifts may be required
- Steel-toed footwear and other PPE required as applicable
