Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) / Child & Youth Worker (CYW)

Woodbridge Public School Before & After School Program, located at 60 Burwick Avenue, Woodbridge, ON, is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and caring RECE/CYW to join our team.

The successful candidate will be passionate about working with school-age children and committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

Position Details

Program: Before & After School Program

Location: Woodbridge Public School, 60 Burwick Avenue, Woodbridge, ON

Schedule: Split shift, 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday

Hours: 7:00–9:00 a.m. and 3:00–6:00 p.m.

Contract Period: September 2026 – June 2027

Starting Salary: $25.86 per hour

Qualifications & Requirements

Candidates must

- Be a certified member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario (for RECE applicants)
- Provide a current Police Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening completed within the last 6 months
- Have an up-to-date immunization record, including a 2-Step Tuberculosis (TB) Test
- Provide a clear and detailed medical record
- Hold a valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification
- Provide proof of completion of the Worker Health and Safety Awareness online certification
- Provide proof of completion of a Food Handler Certification
- Have previous experience working in a school-based or child care setting
- Have an excellent command of the English language,



both written and spoken
- Have knowledge and experience with HDLH (How Does Learning Happen?), including the ability to develop and implement a high-quality, engaging program
- Be reliable, punctual, energetic, mature and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times

Working as Part of a Team The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our before and after school staff and classroom teachers while sharing learning spaces and supporting a positive, respectful environment for children.
