We are seeking a hands-on, detail-focused individual to join our company as a Receiver. This role will involve receiving components or completed units from suppliers or customers, and ensuring they match purchase order or RMA records, entering data into our inventory system, and staging items for our QC team based on receipt date and company priorities. This individual will also aid our Inventory Control and Shipping departments as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Receiving:
o Receiving incoming shipments of goods, materials, and supplies o Inspecting deliveries for accuracy, completeness, and any damages o Verifying quantities and quality of items received against packing lists and purchase orders o Updating the shipping and receiving log with relevant information o Completing all receiving documentation for all received items o Moving received items into inventory area o Delivering non-inventory items to the appropriate departments o Keeping receiving area organized and free from clutter
Assisting Inventory Control o Picking and issuing items as necessary o Helping maintain the orderliness of the Inventory Room as able
Assisting Shipping o Staging, cleaning and packaging completed units and accessories in preparation for shipping to customers o Picking, packaging and fulfilling items as necessary
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Required: valid Canadian work permit or resident / citizen status
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics, warehousing, or a related field is a plus
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or a similar role preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspecting and documenting shipments
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with carriers and internal teams
- Basic computer skills for updating logs and inventory records and communicating via email or software platforms
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items as needed
SALARY RANGE: Starting at $45,000
