About Compound

Compound Cut Club is a premium barbershop and hair salon in central Edmonton. Twelve chairs, a team of barbers and stylists who are genuinely valuable at what they do, and 1,300+ Google reviews averaging 4.9 stars. We do men's and women's cuts, skin fades, beard work, hot towel shaves, colour, perms and braids, and we do them to the same standard every visit. The shop is busy, the vibe is relaxed, and our clients come back because the experience is consistent from the moment they walk in.

The role

You are the front of house. The first voice on the phone, the first face through the door, and the person who keeps the day running smoothly for our clients and our team. You support the barbers and stylists so they can stay focused on the chair, and you make every visit feel easy from check-in to checkout. This is a people job first: warm, organized, switched on, and proud of how the shop looks and runs.

What you will do

Client experience

- Welcome every client and handle every call and message professionally and warmly
- Check clients in and out, manage the booking calendar, and keep the day on schedule
- Look after clients when something is not right: listen, sort it out, and rebook them so they leave happy

Supporting the team




- Assist the barbers and stylists through the day so they can focus on their clients
- Keep the booking calendar organized and help clients book their next appointment before they leave
- Recommend retail and add-ons when it fits the client
- Invite happy clients to leave a Google review, and help us respond to reviews

Shop standards
- Keep the shop presentable through the day: sweep regularly, tidy stations, front desk, entry, washroom and laundry
- Presentable, friendly, helpful. You are part of the brand

Inventory
- Keep an eye on retail, back bar and product stock, note what is running low, and help build the order list

Content and online
- Help film reels and shop content, and support promotions and our online presence

Who we are looking for

- Outgoing, and genuinely loves connecting with people
- Great with clients, in person and on the phone
- Organized and reliable, with an eye for detail
- Comfortable recommending products and services in a natural, no-pressure way
- Comfortable learning booking software and using a phone camera
- Salon or barbershop experience is a plus. Attitude and reliability matter more
