Recreation Manager

Full-Time Days and Weekends The Recreation Manager provides a comprehensive activity program for the benefit of each resident on a continuing basis. In this role you will be required to plan, direct, and coordinate the necessary activities for the activation Health & Wellness program within the residence.

Responsibilities

- Oversee recreational programs and activities for residents, ensuring they are engaging and tailored to individual needs.
- Foster a positive setting by communicating effectively with residents, staff, and families.
- Maintain organizational skills to manage schedules and resources efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain First Aid Certification.
- Lead and mentor staff while promoting a culture of care and support for residents, particularly those with disabilities or dementia.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance the quality of life for all residents.

Requirements
- Diploma in recreation/leisure studies.
- Course(s) in Gerontology and Activities/Recreation are desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.




- Must have experience working in a retirement residence with both Independent and Assisted Living/Memory Care residents
- Knowledge of program development is an asset.
- Must be a Recreational Therapist
- License/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Class 4 Driver’s License an asset

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
