Job Details

Under the general direction of the Senior National Training Manager and the Program Director, the Senior Regional Training Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the Training functions across the country. The Senior Regional Training Manager will lead regional as well as some national training activities. Additionally, they will be an expert in private and regional government payer policies and ensure that the field team acquire the necessary skills to assist physicians and patients in securing insurance coverage. The Senior Regional Training Manager works closely with the Senior National Training Manager and District Managers (DMs) in assessing the skill level of the field team, conducting Needs Analyses and developing and implementing in-house and virtual training programs aimed at enhancing the skill set of the field team. The Senior Regional Training Manager conducts routine field visits and provides ongoing training and coaching for the field team on a need basis.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Act as lead for training team when Senior National Training Manager is not available
- Coach new trainers as needed
- Train and motivate field based teams
- Develop skill sets of field based teams
- Spend a significant proportion of time in the field with field based teams
- Develop and implement training programs for field based teams, both new and experienced
- Lead and participate in updating of training manuals and production of new manuals
- Implement and follow-up on training programs
- Prepare and give the basic training courses
- Participate in the training of the teams in the field and submit an evaluation of their training needs and performance to their respective District Managers
- Develop training workshops and act as facilitator during the National/Regional meetings
- Review, assess and recommend new training techniques (by reading and participating to courses, seminars and conventions for Trainers)
- Review the participant evaluations following training programs and workshops to bring the necessary changes in order to improve their content and methodology
- Coach and provide feedback to speakers and trainers




- Provide District Managers with a detailed evaluation of participants performance during training sessions
- Utilize systems (CRM, Reports) to monitor, train and coach field based teams
- Ensure that the training material, product manuals and content of the training programs are up-to-date
- Meet the annual training plan objectives
- Assess and update the training procedures, techniques and methods to ensure a continuous improvement of the training quality and efficacy and provide our internal customers with an excellent training program

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Requires minimum of five (5) years broad knowledge and training in the fields of business administration, sales, marketing, or similar vocations
- Background in healthcare or pharmaceutical settings
- Normally requires a minimum of at least two (2) years as a trainer in a patient support program
- Proficiency in face-to-face and telephone customer service skills
- Knowledge of private and public reimbursement structure, systems, and processes
- Experience with reimbursement billing, special access, appeals process and conducting field-based reimbursement support and consultation
- Proficiency in training all field roles (FCM, PCS, WCM)

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

- A Bachelor’s degree program and an equivalent combination of experience and education are required.
- Robust coaching and training skills.
- Strong analytical skills including interpretation of regulation and legislation.
- Demonstrated teamwork abilities and customer service skills.
- Ability to make decisions using sound judgment.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Strong organizational skills, creative problem solving and results oriented.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills as well as superior presentation skills
- Expert knowledge of Reimbursement, Case Management and Customer interface.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proven track record in leadership
- Excellent client management experience
- Proficient with computers and systems
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to stay abreast of developments in health care, provincial and private payer markets
- Strong industry and company business knowledge
- Nursing background is an asset




- General knowledge and application of Adult Learning Principles and conduct of Needs Analysis in developing Training programs
- Hold and maintain a valid, non-expired, unrestricted driver’s license
