Solid Roots Clinic is looking for a professional, reliable, and client-focused Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) to join our growing multidisciplinary team.
We are looking for a therapist who is passionate about providing high-quality, evidence-informed care and helping clients improve their mobility, function, recovery, and overall quality of life.
At Solid Roots, our goal is to create an environment where practitioners can focus on excellent patient care while building a strong and sustainable practice within a supportive multidisciplinary clinic.
The Opportunity
This is a part-time independent contractor position with the opportunity to expand hours as your caseload grows.
Availability may include
- Monday to Friday
- Daytime and evening hours
- Optional weekend availability
- Flexible scheduling based on practitioner and clinic needs
This position is well suited to an RMT who wants to build and maintain a strong client base while working alongside other health and wellness professionals.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the Solid Roots team, you will:
- Provide professional, safe, and individualized massage therapy treatments.
- Conduct appropriate assessments and develop treatment plans based on each client's goals.
- Work toward achieving the best possible functional and therapeutic outcomes for each client.
- Educate clients about their condition, treatment options, self-care strategies, mobility, and injury prevention when appropriate.
- Clearly communicate treatment recommendations and the clinical reasoning behind the proposed plan of care.
- Develop professional and therapeutic relationships that encourage trust, continuity of care, and long-term client retention.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and clinic standards.
- Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans when appropriate.
- Encourage appropriate follow-up care based on clinical need rather than unnecessary treatment frequency.
- Collaborate and communicate with other practitioners when multidisciplinary care may benefit the client.
- Maintain a skilled, clean, safe, and welcoming treatment environment.
- Follow clinic policies, procedures, privacy requirements, and professional standards.
Practice Growth & Community Involvement

You may have opportunities to:
- Participate in clinic workshops and educational events.
- Contribute to internal professional development and practitioner training.
- Participate in community events, trade shows, and clinic promotions.
- Contribute educational ideas or content for the clinic's website and social media.
- Help develop programs, services, and initiatives that improve the client experience.
- Appropriately reconnect with clients who have discontinued care when follow-up may be beneficial.
- Build referral relationships with other practitioners within the clinic and the broader community.
What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is:
- A Registered Massage Therapist in good standing with a recognized professional association.
- Eligible to practise and provide insurance receipts in Alberta.
- Professional, dependable, punctual, and organized.
- Client-focused with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable performing assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
- Committed to ethical, professional, and client-centered care.
- Interested in continuing education and and professional development.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
- Motivated to build and maintain a successful client base.
- Open to participating in clinic education, community outreach, and practice-building initiatives.
Experience is an asset, but we are also interested in motivated therapists who demonstrate robust clinical skills, professionalism, and a commitment to learning.

Compensation
Competitive independent contractor compensation, structured to support practitioners as they develop and maintain their caseload.
