Your Opportunity
If you are a Registered Nurse looking to apply your teamwork skills and work in a dynamic fast-paced workplace, then Unit 2A5/2A6 at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute (Maz) is the place for you! Unit 2A5/2A6 specializes in invasive cardiac care that consists of 3 Cardiac Catheterization Labs, 3 Electrophysiology Labs and a 24 bed Cardiac Sciences Holding and Recovery (CSHR). Our program works closely with other teams to support procedures for the adult congenital program, pediatric program and TAVI program.
In addition, our CSHR area supports patient flow throughout the Maz and diagnostic tests that may require procedural sedation. As a member of the team, RNs deliver comprehensive care to patients in relation to cardiac catheterization/electrophysiology procedures. Cross training to work in different areas of Unit 2A5/2A6 (Electrophysiology/Recovery or Cardiac Catheterization Lab/Recovery) could occur.
On call for emergency after-hours cases may be required.
