Quality Lead Registered Nurse
Please Note: This job is located in Wingham ON
Minimal Qualifications Required:
Formal:
- RN—current registration and in good standing with the College of Nurses
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse in Long Term Care Environment.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in completing program evaluations, audits and/or inspections related to LTC Mandatory programs and quality improvement programing
- Has working knowledge of Fixing Long Term Care Act, O. Reg 246/22 and related legislation
- Has working knowledge of the Ministry Required Mandatory programs
- Has working knowledge of quality improvement planning and implementation
- Formal leadership education is preferred

Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Provisions of services in accordance with the established Residents’ expectations and changing
- needs and the established standards.
- Participation in annual evaluations for ministry mandated / organizationally developed Quality programs
- Participation in development of annual Quality Improvement plans for each identified program in collaboration with other disciplines as appropriate
- Participate in oversight of quality improvement plan initiative progress
- Collaborating with Director of Care and Clinical Education Lead in identifying,
planning and implementation training & education in relation to Quality Improvement program areas
- Data collection and analysis of performance indicators submitted monthly to Director of Care for quality improvement metrics
- Leads or participate in monthly interdisciplinary committee meetings for various programs
- Participate in monthly Quality Committee meetings
- Prepare appropriate data and participate/present in quarterly Professional Advisory Committee (PAC)/ Quality Council (CQ) meetings
- Conducts inspections, evaluations and audits in-line with the homes Quality Improvement plans and BPSO requirements (all shifts)
- Collaborates with RNAO to complete evaluations and planning regarding Best Practice Guidelines to attain and maintain Braemar’s status as a Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO)
- Meets all reporting requirements to ensure Braemar’s status as a BPSO
- Assist on the floor as required
- Other duties as assigned
