Two (2) casual RPN opportunities are available in the Operating Room at Groves Memorial Community Hospital.
This position is unionized with UNIFOR, Local 1106.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Current BCLS certification
- Successful completion of an Accredited Operating Room Course/Certification
- Minimum 2 years experience working in the Operating Room/Day Surgery and Endoscopy
- Must be available to take on call/ standby shifts as scheduled and meet the call back requirements
- IV Therapy Course (or up to scope)
- Cardiac Monitoring / Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)
- Demonstrated Physical Assessment skills
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Must demonstrate success working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting
- Demonstrated lifelong learner
- Must demonstrate successfully working in a team setting
- Satisfactory performance and attendance required
- Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date
- Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired
HOURS:
- Standard Operating Room, PACU, Endoscopy, Day Surgery hours: Monday - Friday as required and a regular monthly minimum rotation of stand by including call backs.
- Must be able to respond to on call within a specified timeframe.
SALARY:
- $37.69 to $39.17 per hour
