Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker — Join Good Medicine Wellness

Good Medicine Wellness is growing, and we’re looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker to join our collaborative wellness team.

We’re seeking a practitioner who is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and families and who values a thoughtful, client-centred approach to mental health care. This is an opportunity to build your practice within a welcoming multidisciplinary environment while working alongside other healthcare and wellness professionals who believe in supporting the whole person.

About the Role

As a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker with Good Medicine Wellness, you will provide individualized mental health support to children, youth, and families based on their unique needs, circumstances, and goals.

You will have the opportunity to develop meaningful therapeutic relationships, provide evidence-informed care, and collaborate with other practitioners when appropriate to create a well-rounded approach to client wellness.

Responsibilities

- Provide individual psychotherapy and mental health support to children and adolescents, with opportunities to support parents and families where appropriate.
- Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on each client’s needs and goals.
- Use evidence-informed therapeutic approaches such as CBT, play-based therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, or other modalities within your scope of practice and expertise.
- Support clients experiencing emotional, behavioural, developmental, social,



or life-transition challenges.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with skilled and regulatory standards.
- Communicate and collaborate with parents, caregivers, educators, physicians, and other healthcare professionals when appropriate and with client consent.
- Work collaboratively with the Good Medicine Wellness team to provide thoughtful, coordinated care.
- Maintain professional standards, confidentiality, and ongoing competency requirements established by your regulatory college.

Qualifications

- Current registration and good standing as a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker with the appropriate Ontario regulatory college.
- Professional liability insurance and ability to practise independently within your professional scope.
- Experience working therapeutically with children and/or adolescents.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- A compassionate, inclusive, and client-centred approach to care.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary wellness environment.
- Training or experience in areas such as CBT, play therapy, trauma-informed care, anxiety, emotional regulation, neurodiversity, behavioural concerns, family support,



or related areas is considered an asset.
