Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and other sample analyses to assist in accurate diagnoses.
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures by preparing instruments, monitoring anesthesia, and providing patient support.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians with precision and care.
- Educate pet owners on post-treatment care, medication administration, and preventive health strategies to promote animal well-being.
- Maintain detailed medical records, update patient files accurately,
and ensure compliance with clinic protocols.
- Monitor hospitalized animals closely, providing comfort and ensuring their safety throughout their stay.
- Support clinic operations by managing inventory of medical supplies and laboratory materials efficiently.
Requirements
- Valid license or certification as a Registered Veterinary Technician or equivalent credential.
- Proven laboratory experience with familiarity in conducting diagnostic tests and handling lab equipment.
- Robust animal handling skills combined with a compassionate approach to client communication.
