This role is responsible for providing assistance with the developing and coordinating of fun and meaningful events, activities and services that encourage an active lifestyle among the residents in the community and ensures the achievement of essential activities of daily living.What You’ll DoPlan, prepare and run engaging and fun programs for residentsAssist residents to and from the activity if requiredMotivate residents to be active and involvedEffectively promote activities and an active lifestyle in the homeAssist the Fun Manager in planning and developing special events for residentsDevelop and maintain effective relationships with residents and their families in order to identify individual needs, resolve issues and evaluate resident satisfactionMonitor and record resident involvement in the homeBuild relationships and work collaboratively with colleaguesAll other duties as assignedWhat You’ll BringExperience working in an environment in the healthcare or hospitality industry and working knowledge of activation programs and mobility restrictionRelevant professional experience in recreation and/or equivalent certificateAbility to plan organize and direct the delivery of diverse social services, special events.Empathy for and understanding of the need of the elderly and disabled, including persons living with dementiaClass G/Class 5 driver’s license with explicit driver’s abstract (Applicable to Ontario/Alberta)Current Safe Food Handler’s certificationCurrent CPR/ First Aid certificationWhat We OfferA safe,
