Teck seeks a Senior Technician in Metallurgy & Technology for their Trail, BC operations. This in office, temporary role focuses on process optimization and technology development initiatives.
As a Senior Technician, you will report to the Superintendent, Process Optimization. Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to implement process improvements and enhance safety. Conduct laboratory and pilot testing, analyze data, and problem-solve for optimal operational performance while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Champion safety policies and environmental regulations
• Perform lab-scale and pilot testing for process advancements
• Analyze and report on process data




• Engage in troubleshooting and optimization efforts
• Manage operations of testing equipment and processes
Requirements:
• Graduate in metallurgical or chemical sciences
• At least 8 years of relevant experience required
• Familiarity with MS Office and metallurgical software
• Hands-on experience with plant-scale equipment
• Excellent time management and self-starter attributes
