About the Role

Ray Tim Construction is looking for a Renovation Sales Consultant to develop new residential renovation opportunities and manage client relationships from the initial consultation through project completion.

This is not a role focused only on company-provided leads. The successful candidate must be comfortable generating business through referrals, networking, professional relationships and direct outreach.

This opportunity may be a strong fit for candidates with experience in:

- Residential renovation or home-improvement sales
- Interior design
- Kitchen, cabinetry or millwork sales
- Countertops, flooring or building materials
- Real estate or property-related business development
- Freelance design or renovation consulting

Responsibilities
- Generate new residential renovation opportunities
- Build referral relationships with homeowners and industry professionals
- Conduct client consultations and site visits
- Understand project scope, budget, timeline and design preferences
- Gather measurements, photographs and project information
- Prepare preliminary scopes and assist with renovation estimates
- Work with management to confirm costs and pricing
- Present quotations, follow up and close projects
- Coordinate client decisions and material selections
- Maintain client communication throughout the renovation
- Identify additional work and coordinate change-order requests
- Assist with progress-payment follow-up and project closeout
- Maintain accurate client and project records

The consultant manages the sales process and client relationship. Daily trade supervision, site safety, construction scheduling and workforce management are handled by the operations team.

Qualifications

- Proven sales, business-development or client-acquisition ability
- Comfortable generating new opportunities independently




- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and follow-up skills
- Able to discuss renovation budgets and higher-value services confidently
- Organized, self-motivated and accountable for results
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable access to a vehicle
- Able to travel throughout Toronto and the GTA
- Professional written and spoken English
- Occasional evening or Saturday availability

Experience in residential renovation, estimating, interior design, kitchens, cabinetry or millwork is preferred. Candidates without renovation estimating experience may still be considered if they demonstrate strong sales ability and a proven record of developing and closing higher-value opportunities.

Ability to communicate in Chinese is an asset.

Working Arrangement and Compensation

We are open to full-time, part-time and freelance arrangements.

Employee arrangements include an initial six-month earnings guarantee followed by a performance-based commission structure. Freelance arrangements are commission-based with flexible scheduling.

Compensation is competitive and uncapped. Full details will be discussed during the interview process.
