We ensure that safety, comfort, and a personal touch is given to each and everyone who comes to our facilities!The OpportunityReporting to the Operations and Business Development Manager, this role will oversee a single location of Davina’s Swim House. In this role you will be working closely with our aquatic and customer service teams, leadership, and clients to create a safe and engaging experience for all. You’ll be at the forefront of overseeing swim programs, mentoring staff, facility maintenance, ensuring client and staff satisfaction, smooth daily operations, and promoting our services in the community.This role combines management, sales, and customer service responsibilities to help us make a splash in the world.Who You AreYou’re a forward thinker who thrives in quick-paced, evolving environments. You take pride in supporting teams and laying the groundwork for future growth.ResponsibilitiesFinancial and Administrative:Accurately enter payroll hours into our pay system and update as shift times changeMonitor the facility’s budget and payroll activityEvaluate staffing levels and shift capacity, making shift cuts and staffing adjustments as needed to adhere to budget and facility needsManage the scheduling of classes, instructors, and supervisors to ensure proper coverageMaintain accurate records of class enrollments, attendance, and progressLead preparation and execution of team events, special programs, and trainingEnsure staff qualifications are up-to-date and currentHelp monitor session stats like retention, fill rates, and customer satisfactionTrack, monitor, order, and replenish inventory levels of all necessary supplies (pool, safety, cleaning, office)Deliver a Great Client Experience:Be present and approachable on deck; answering questions, addressing complaints, chatting with parents,



and resolving concerns with empathy and professionalismFoster positive relationships with swimmers and parents to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphereHelp families feel confident about their swim journey and drive client registration through facility tours, assessments, and program recommendationsMonitor feedback and reviews to continuously improve the experienceSupport front desk operations with inquiries, billing follow-up, and registration; not just assisting but helping drive conversionsManage Programs & Sessions:Quality control throughout the lessons and ensure that the DSH program is being taught and adhered to, as well as the high level of instruction is maintainedEnsure all programs meet DSH’s quality and safety standards, feel fun, organized, and family-friendlyBuild and update facility schedules to maximize pool time and class availabilityAssign instructors to classes, support smooth deck setup/takedown, and ensure session readiness (progress reports, deck sheets)Support teaching and instructional leadership on deck or in-water, including leading or assisting with class demos, daytime teaching, and specific enrollment parametersOrganize and deliver regular training sessions for staff members to enhance their skills, knowledge and certificationsManage all staff schedules and proactively solve any scheduling challengesManage adherence to Lifesaving Society standards in leadership course, and schedule all leadership coursesSupport & Grow Our Team:Lead, mentor, and train a team of Deck Leads, Head Instructors, Instructors, and SCT’sFoster a positive, respectful, and supportive team culture by being the go-to person, offering guidance, mentorship, and ongoing trainingCreate space for feedback and growth by conducting and tracking ongoing performance evaluations and performance improvement plansRecognize and celebrate your team; Mid-session treats, end-of-session pizzas, and little gestures that go a long wayAnticipate hiring needs and support recruitment, onboarding, and training of staffEnsure smooth team processes like payroll submissions, onboarding,



and offboardingCommunicate openly and regularly with the team through staff meetings and sharing updatesLead Facility Operations:Keep the facility clean, safe, functional, and ready for fun; from pool equipment andmaintenance to birthday walls and themed decorationsConfirm everything runs smoothly behind the scenes; from logbooks to session transitions and supply ordersEnsure safety protocols meet pool/health regulations and equipment is stocked, maintained, and up to standardOversee daily maintenance tasks, safety equipment checks, and facility inspections and coordinate with external vendors for repairs, pest control, and mechanical needsEnsure proper record keeping of all logbooks, cleaning checklists, and supply ordersBe accountable for managing emergencies by ensuring the emergency response plan is aligned with industry best practices, conducting safety checks and drills, and staying up to date on certifications, regulations, and best practices in aquatic safetyQualificationsHolds current certifications in National Lifeguard, Standard First Aid, and Certified Pool OperatorPrior experience in aquatic instruction, with a minimum of 5 years as an instructor or supervisorStrong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDetail oriented with excellent time managementFriendly, approachable, and confident working in a family-centered environmentAcceptable police check for vulnerable sectorKnowledge of pool operations and safety proceduresAvailable for weekends and eveningsThe Skill SetProficient with MS Office, including Word and ExcelAdapt to system/process changes and challengesExcellent oral and written communication skillsCommunication: Communicates in a thorough, clear and timely manner to support information sharing.Concern for Health and Safety: Acknowledges and understands how to manage and educate others of risk and harm reduction.Creativity and Innovation: Develops new ways or adapts existing ideas to help achieve desired resultRelationship Building and Collaboration: Builds positive interactions, both internally and externally, to build enthusiasm and appreciation to achieve work related goals.In addition to the above competencies the associated core competencies are required: commitment to organization vision and values, diversity, integrity, teamwork#J-18808-Ljbffr
