Research Assistant The Research Assistant works in collaboration with the Principal Investigator and Project Director on mixed-methods patient-centered research. This role will be responsible for assisting with the implementation and execution of research focusing on improving access to kidney transplantation in populations marginalized by race or ethnicity. This role actively supports team efforts, working with internal and external partners to achieve research objectives and deliverables.

What you will do:

- Work with Principal Investigators and research team with various administrative tasks associated with the day-to-day operations of mixed methods evaluation research studies
- Complete systematic chart reviews to identify, collect and record data for statistical analysis
- Contribute to qualitative data preparation through transcript review, coding preparation, and quality assurance processes
- Supports the development of knowledge translation outputs, including conducting literature reviews and assists in the development of proposals and associated documents
- Maintains regular communication with the Principal Investigator and Project Director providing timely updates on study progress and key milestones
- Prepares and maintains accurate documentation, including meeting minutes, agendas and other relevant materials as assigned
- Maintains strict confidentiality related to identification and release of study data. Upholds ethical policies, procedures, and privacy legislation as appropriate
- Preforms other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

- A university degree in health science,



public health, social sciences, or related field preferred
- Two years previous research experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Skills & Abilities:

- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Strong time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
- A high level of resourcefulness and ability to work cohesively in a team and independently
- Knowledge of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples and histories, including an understanding of Indigenous-specific racism in health care and the calls to action, commitments, and initiatives to advance reconciliation and health equity
- Experience with quantitative research methods, including data collection, data quality assurance, and statistical concepts
- Knowledge of qualitative research methods, including interviews and analysis techniques
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Computer competency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), NVivo, Microsoft Office Software, Reference Manager or similar program is an asset

This position is a full time 1-year contact. It is a hybrid work chance, some on site work may be required. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada
