About the Opportunity

itec group is representing a leading organization in the advanced manufacturing and nuclear sector in the search for an experienced Procurement Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional with strong leadership experience who understands the complexities of highly regulated manufacturing environments. Experience within the nuclear sector would be a significant asset, particularly exposure to nuclear quality standards, codes, and procurement requirements.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the procurement function, including strategic sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, and contract negotiations.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, quality requirements, and project schedules.
- Lead, mentor, and develop procurement team members.
- Manage supplier relationships, performance, pricing, delivery, and quality.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality and supply continuity.
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Project Management, and Finance teams.
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on technical, commercial, and quality requirements.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with applicable industry standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Support audits and maintain appropriate procurement documentation and records.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, purchase orders, and long-term supplier arrangements.
- Monitor market conditions and develop strategies to mitigate supply-chain risks.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.

Qualifications

- 7+ years of progressive procurement experience, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, nuclear, or another highly regulated industry.
- 3+ years of supervisory or management experience.




- Skilled designation such as SCMP, PMP, P.Eng., or another relevant professional designation.
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiations, and procurement best practices.
- Knowledge of CSA N285 and/or ASME Section III is strongly preferred.
- Nuclear-sector experience is a major asset.
- Strong understanding of quality requirements and documentation within regulated manufacturing environments.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and senior leadership.
- Robust knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
