Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling
- Assist customers with product demos, answering questions about store merchandise and features
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the store is clean, tidy, and well-merchandised to attract shoppers
- Upsell products by recommending additional items that meet customer needs and increase sales
- Manage inventory levels through stocking and merchandising efforts to maintain product availability
- Handle customer inquiries via phone with skilled phone etiquette, providing helpful information promptly
Requirements
- Previous retail sales or grocery store experience preferred; familiarity with retail store product knowledge is a plus
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customers
- Experience with POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math for retail math calculations
- Demonstrated cashiering skills including cash drawer handling and cash handling accuracy
- Supervising experience is beneficial for leadership opportunities or team collaboration roles
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate loads throughout shifts in a busy retail environment
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
