Position Overview
As a Robotics & Coding Instructor, you will inspire and guide students aged 6–13 to explore the exciting world of robotics and computer science. You’ll help them develop foundational skills in mechanics, programming, and logical thinking, while fostering creativity, teamwork, and resilience. Through your mentorship, students will experience the thrill of transforming their ideas into real, working creations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in robotics and coding (e.g., LEGO Spike Prime, LEGO EV3, Scratch, Python, or similar).
- Guide students through hands-on building and programming challenges, encouraging experimentation and problem-solving.
- Support learning growth by providing academic assistance and personalized feedback.
- Encourage critical thinking by helping students debug code, analyze designs, and improve performance.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure learning objectives are achieved.
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and inspiring learning environment that promotes curiosity and teamwork.
- Collaborate with the curriculum and program development team to refine lesson materials and classroom activities.
- Contribute to robotics competition teams (e.g., FLL, VEX IQ) as a mentor, where applicable.
Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching or mentoring children (ages 6–13) in a classroom, camp, or enrichment program.
- Proficiency with LEGO Robotics platforms (Spike Prime, EV3) and/or block-based or text-based coding (Scratch, Python).
- A passion for robotics, technology, and hands-on education.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
