Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Commercial Roofers skilled in the installation and assembly of 2-Ply SBS (Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene) modified bitumen systems. You will work on commercial and industrial projects, installing complete roof assemblies including vapor barriers, rigid insulation (ISO/EPS), cover boards, base sheets, and torch-applied or cold-applied cap sheets.

Key Responsibilities

Install 2-ply SBS modified bitumen membrane systems (torch-on, mop-down, self-adhered, or cold adhesive methods).

Lay and mechanically fasten/adhere insulation systems (polyisocyanurate, EPS, tapered systems) and cover boards (e.g., DensDeck, fiberboard).

Install vapor retarders/air barriers, cant strips, base ply, and flashing details.

Execute clean, watertight detailing around penetrations, parapet walls, drains, curbs, and scuppers.

Safely operate open-flame propane torches, kettles, tear-off equipment, and standard roofing hand tools.

Adhere strictly to OSHA fall protection protocols, fire safety (fire watch routines), and company safety guidelines.

Assist in staging materials, site prep, tear-offs, and daily clean-up.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience:



Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with commercial low-slope roofing and SBS modified bitumen assemblies.

Technical Skills: Competent in torch-applied or cold-process SBS cap sheets and multi-layer insulation systems.

Safety Certifications: OSHA 10/30, Fall Protection, or Torch/Fire Safety certification (e.g., CERTA) strongly preferred.

Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs repeatedly, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Reliability: Punctual, solid team-player mindset, and reliable transportation to job sites or the shop.

Valid driver’s license is an asset.

Schedule

8 to 10-hour shifts
