About Sun & Snow Roofing

Sun & Snow Roofing is a growing Vancouver Island roofing company specializing primarily in residential roof replacements, asphalt shingles, metal roofing, repairs, and select commercial projects.

We are looking for experienced asphalt shinglers who take pride in their work, understand proper roofing installation practices, and can work efficiently as part of a professional crew.

We are looking for people who want steady work and the opportunity to grow with the company—not someone looking for a few temporary shifts.

What You'll Be Doing

- Installing asphalt shingle roofing systems
- Installing CertainTeed Landmark and similar architectural shingles
- Removing existing shingles and roofing materials
- Installing synthetic underlayment, ice & water membrane, starter shingles and ridge caps
- Installing and replacing roof vents
- Completing valleys, flashing, wall transitions and penetrations correctly
- Inspecting roof decking and identifying damaged sheathing
- Installing plywood/OSB replacement where required
- Maintaining straight courses and clean finished roof lines
- Using roofing nailers and standard roofing tools safely
- Loading and staging roofing materials
- Maintaining clean and organized job sites
- Following fall-protection and WorkSafeBC requirements
- Protecting customers' homes, siding, landscaping and property during tear-offs
- Assisting with final cleanup and magnetic nail collection
- Working efficiently with the crew to complete projects on schedule
- Communicating problems or unexpected roof conditions to the foreman/project manager





What We're Looking For Roofing experience is strongly preferred.

Ideal applicants will have solid experience with asphalt shingle installation and be comfortable working independently once given direction.

You should have

2+ years of asphalt shingle roofing experience preferred A good understanding of roof layout, valleys, flashing, vents and penetrations

Ability to install shingles accurately and efficiently

Comfortable working safely at heights

Valuable physical fitness and ability to lift roofing materials

Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Ability to work outdoors in changing Vancouver Island weather

Ability to work well with a crew

Attention to detail and pride in finished workmanship

Valid driver's licence preferred

Reliable transportation to work/job sites preferred

Fall protection certification is an asset

First Aid certification is an asset

Experience with metal roofing is an additional asset
