Prestige School is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced Russian Teacher to join our school community beginning in September 2026.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about language education and enjoys creating an engaging, supportive, and positive learning environment for students.

Position Details

- Position: Russian Teacher
- Start Date: September 2026
- Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Employment Type: Part-Time
- Location: Prestige School, 21 Eddfield Ave., North York, ON.

Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering engaging Russian language lessons appropriate to students’ ages and ability levels.
- Teaching Russian language skills, including speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary.
- Developing creative and engaging classroom activities that encourage students to use and enjoy the Russian language.
- Adapting instruction and learning materials to meet the individual needs and abilities of students.
- Creating a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assessing student learning and monitoring academic progress.
- Providing students with constructive feedback and encouragement.
- Preparing lesson plans, assignments, activities, and assessments as required.
- Maintaining appropriate classroom routines and supporting positive student behaviour.
- Keeping accurate records of attendance, student progress, and assessment.




- Communicating professionally with administration and fellow teachers regarding student progress and learning needs.
- Participating in school activities and contributing positively to the overall school community.
- Supporting students in developing confidence, communication skills, and a strong appreciation for the Russian language and culture.

Qualifications and Skills The ideal candidate will have:
- Fluency in Russian, both written and spoken.
- Previous teaching experience, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- The ability to create engaging and age-appropriate lessons.
- A positive, patient, and encouraging approach to working with students.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with administration and other teachers.
- A passion for language education and student development.
