Ottawa Picture Framing is looking for a friendly, creative and dependable Part-Time Sales Associate & Picture Framer to join our team.

We are a locally owned custom framing shop specializing in custom picture framing, artwork, shadowboxes, mirrors, ready-made frames and unique home décor. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, has a good eye for colour and design, and takes pride in creating beautiful, well-finished work.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers and help them choose framing designs that complement their artwork, photographs and keepsakes
- Assist with selecting frames, mats, glass and other framing options
- Prepare quotes and complete customer orders
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service in-store and by phone
- Cut mats, assemble frames and complete custom framing projects
- Fit artwork, install backing and finishing materials, and prepare completed pieces for customers
- Handle artwork and customer belongings carefully and respectfully
- Assist with merchandising, displays and keeping the showroom and work areas organized
- Process sales and customer pickups
- Help with ready-made frames, artwork and other retail products
- Work both independently and as part of a small team

- Retail, design, art, decorating or picture-framing experience is an asset
- Previous custom framing experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate
- Availability for Saturdays is required

About You

You don’t necessarily need to be an experienced picture framer to be a great fit. If you are creative, personable, have a good sense of design and enjoy making things with your hands, we’d love to hear from you. Training can be provided for the right person.
