We’reseeking Health Care Support Workers (HCSWs) to provide compassionate,high-quality care in a homelike setting—helping people live with dignity andindependence while creating moments of comfort, connection, and joy.The RoleAs a Health Care Support Worker,you’ll work directly in a live-in group home setting, supporting individualswith limited mobility in both their daily care and community participation.Guided by the Program Manager and working closely with a strong team, you will:Provide personal care, lifts, transfers,
and health support for individuals with mobility needsOperate an adapted wheelchair-accessible van for safe community accessSupport individuals with daily living activities, recreation, and skill developmentSafely administer, monitor, and record medications according to established protocolsApply positive behavioural intervention strategies, recognizing behaviour as communicationRespond to challenging situations using crisis intervention and risk management strategiesMaintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment, reporting safety issues promptlyBuild strong, respectful relationships with supported individuals, families, and colleaguesThis role requires a balance of compassion, clinical skill, and professionalism. You will be a steady presence in the home, helping individuals feel safe, empowered, and cared for.What you bringPreferred formal education(Diploma or Degree, CSW, RCA, SIVA etc.) and/or work experience with persons with diverse-abilities and/or other relevant experience.Excellent interpersonal behaviour andcommunication skills.A genuine desire and ability to support individuals with diverse-abilities, promoting dignity, independence, individuality.Ability to work independently in a highstress environment.Must be in good health with the physicalability to carry out the duties of the position and shift responsibilities.RequirementsValid BC Driver's License, and willingness to obtain a Class 4 within three months.RCMP Criminal Record Check & MCFDHub Screening (employer facilitated).First Aid and CPR, Food Safe Level 1.3 References (including one from yourmost recent employer).Immunization record, TB Screen, and Physician's Declaration.What We OfferProgressive vacation entitlement, starting at 2 weeks.RRSP contribution programExtended health, dental, and lifeinsurance coverage.Ongoing training and professionaldevelopment opportunities.Employee &Family Assistance Program (EFAP)#J-18808-Ljbffr
