ABOUT THE ROLE

1010Tires.com Inc. is opening a brand-new retail, service, storage, and distribution facility in Markham, and we’re looking for a motivated Sales Associate to join our team. This is an chance to be part of a center of excellence for the company, helping customers find the right wheels, tires, and fitments for everything from everyday vehicles to premium German and Japanese cars and today’s growing range of EVs. You’ll work directly with customers in a modern retail environment, providing knowledgeable, personalized service while also supporting the day-to-day operation of the store.

We’re looking for someone who is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and genuinely interested in wheels, tires, and automotive products. Strong communication skills and a passion for helping customers are essential. Automotive or tire industry experience is a strong asset but we’re also interested in people who are eager to learn and become experts in the category.

SALES & CUSTOMER CONSULTATION

- Provide knowledgeable sales and service to walk-in, phone, and online customers on tires, wheels, and automotive accessories.
- Ask the right questions to understand a customer's vehicle, driving needs, and budget, and recommend the correct tire and wheel package — not just the cheapest option.
- Advise customers on fitment for North American, European, and premium Japanese vehicles (e.g., BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Lexus, Acura, Infiniti), including bolt pattern, offset, hub bore, and load/speed rating considerations.
- Understand and explain EV-specific tire considerations to customers — EV-rated/low-rolling-resistance construction, faster wear from instant torque and regenerative braking, and higher load requirements from vehicle curb weight.
- Answer phone and online inquiries related to tire and wheel fitment, availability, and pricing.
- Explain TPMS requirements and service needs at the point of sale so customers understand what's included and what isn't.
- Process payment through various payment gateways and complete transactions accurately.




- Source and order product from suppliers and distributors to fulfill customer orders not held in stock.
- Process returns, credits, and warranty claims professionally and in line with company policy.
- Follow up with customers on quotes, backorders, and storage renewals to convert inquiries into sales.

STORE, SERVICE & WAREHOUSE SUPPORT

- Oversee customer-facing areas — showroom, service waiting area, and work area — to keep them clean, organized, and presentation-ready.
- Inspect tires and wheels for visible damage and confirm warranty eligibility before finalizing a sale.
- Coordinate with the service bay on scheduling, order status, and customer updates for installs and storage drop-off/pick-up.
- Support customer tire and wheel storage operations — intake, tagging, and retrieval — working with the warehouse and service teams as needed.
- Assist with receiving, inventory stocking, and cycle counts as required to keep on-floor and system inventory accurate.
- Conduct store opening and closing duties, including cash reconciliation and end-of-day procedures.

CUSTOMER SERVICE & BRAND REPRESENTATION

- Act as the face of the company with customers, prospective customers, suppliers, and others, upholding the 1010TIRES.com brand image.
- Communicate professionally with customers by phone, email, text, and in person to support sales and service activities.
- Provide accurate product and service information to prospective customers in a professional and respectful manner.
- Handle customer concerns and escalations calmly, involving the Store Manager when a resolution falls outside standard policy.

OTHER DUTIES

- Cross-train for other roles at 1010TIRES.com, including service bay and warehouse functions, to support learning and growth opportunities.
- Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to other 1010TIRES.com employees as necessary.
- Stay current on new and existing products, seasonal tire lines, and supplier programs.
- Ensure a safe, clean,



and aesthetically pleasing interior and exterior store environment.
- Other duties and day-to-day activities as they arise.

REQUIREMENTS

- 2+ years of experience in a retail sales environment; experience selling premium or performance tires and wheels is a strong asset.
- Working knowledge of North American, European, and Japanese vehicle fitments (bolt pattern, offset, hub bore, lug/bolt thread pitch and size).
- Comfortable discussing EV-specific tire and wheel considerations with customers, with willingness to build deeper EV product knowledge through training.
- Knowledge and experience with TPMS fitment, installation, and reprogramming procedures — enough to explain them accurately to customers.
- Knowledge and experience with OE and aftermarket wheels and tires.
- Intermediate computer proficiency, including point-of-sale, accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks), MS Word, and MS Excel.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the tire and wheel industry.
- Fluent in English, spoken and written.
- Robust organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and consultative sales skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

SCHEDULE

- Full-time, Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays as required by seasonal demand.
- Location: 190 Allstate Parkway, Markham, Ontario.
