Fast Parts + is an automotive parts wholesaler that supports the complete line of Ford OEM, Motorcraft and aftermarket parts for car and light trucks. Founded in June 2000, Fast Parts is Canada’s largest Ford and Motorcraft warehouse distributor. Combine this with its membership to two of Canada’s largest aftermarket automotive parts buying groups and Fast Parts can fulfill all our customers car and light truck needs.

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a strategic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales function, strengthen customer relationships, identify new growth opportunities and develop a high-performing sales culture.

Position Summary The Sales Manager is responsible for driving sustainable sales and revenue growth by developing strong business relationships with dealerships, mechanical shops and collision centres throughout Manitoba and Canada. The primary focus of this role is to identify new sales opportunities, strengthen existing customer relationships, while ensuring exceptional customer service.

This position also serves as the designated backup to the General Manager. The incumbent will develop a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the Fast Parts business, including sales, operations, inventory management, financial performance, and customer service. This role is intended to build organizational knowledge, provide business continuity, and support long-term succession planning.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Business Operations

- Act as the primary backup to the General Manager during planned, and unplanned absences, ensuring continuity of business operations.
- Develop a thorough understanding of all operational functions, including sales, warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, purchasing, customer service and financial performance.
- Partner closely with the General Manager on strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and business improvement initiatives.
- Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to operational decision-making.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Build the knowledge and leadership capabilities necessary to assume broader operational responsibilities as the business evolves.





Sales Leadership & Strategy

- Develop and execute annual sales plans aligned with organizational objectives.
- Drive revenue growth by expanding business throughout Manitoba and Canada.
- Develop new business opportunities with autobody shops, collision centres, independent repair facilities, and other wholesale automotive parts customers.
- Identify opportunities to increase market share through prospecting and relationship management.
- Promote Fast Parts products, programs and value-added services to existing and prospective customers.
- Analyze purchasing trends and recommend strategies to increase sales and profitability.
- Develop sales campaigns and promotional initiatives in collaboration with operations and marketing.
- Stay informed of industry trends, competitive activity and Ford programs to identify growth opportunities.
- Assist in providing customer information and product knowledge to an 8 person Order Desk.

Customer Relationship Management · Build trusted relationships with Parts Managers, Service Managers, Fixed Operations Managers, Dealer Principals and wholesale customers.

· Conduct regular customer visits to understand customer needs and identify opportunities for growth.

· Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.

· Deliver an exceptional customer experience across all customer touchpoints.

· Serve as a trusted business partner by providing recommendations that help customers improve their parts purchasing experience.

Financial & Operational Performance

· Achieve annual sales revenue, gross profit, and market share objectives.

· Monitor pricing strategies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive.

· Review sales reports and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities and areas requiring attention.

· Collaborate with inventory and operations teams to optimize product availability and customer fulfillment.

· Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting activities.





Continuous Improvement

· Identify opportunities to improve sales processes and customer service.

· Support the implementation of new technologies, systems, and best practices.

· Utilize sales analytics and market data to support informed business decisions.

· Recommend process improvements that enhance customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

Education

- Post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Equivalent education and experience will be considered.

Experience

- Minimum 5 years of progressive sales experience.
- Automotive, wholesale parts, dealership or distribution industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with Ford dealerships or OEM parts distribution is considered a significant asset.
- Demonstrated success in developing new business and growing existing customer accounts.

Working Conditions

- Primarily office-based with regular calls to dealerships, mechanical shops, collision centres and other wholesale customers.
- Occasional travel for training, conferences, and meetings.
- Valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver's Licence with an acceptable driving record.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as required.
