As Dundee Recycling continues to expand, we are seeking a dedicated and organized individual who excels at multitasking in a fast-paced environment to join us as a Scale Operator.
Job Summary The successful candidate will provide the highest level of customer service and possess organizational and interpersonal skills. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for visitors, customers, and callers.
Responsibilities
- Establish daily pricing for public reference within the scale office
- Operation of scale for inbound/outbound deliveries and public traffic
- Record weights and other supporting documentation on tickets. This includes accurate recording of load deduction, and printing and distributing scale tickets as required.
- Greet drivers and public traffic that enter the scale office for cash payment/paperwork
- Answer all incoming calls to the general line for Dundee Group of Companies and redirect accordingly
- Review and reply to general inquires in a timely fashion
Skills:
- Knowledge of transportation management systems and freight logistics
- Understanding of supply chain processes and best practices
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures
- Ability to type accurately and efficiently
