As a Lifeskills Worker in the Specialized MHSU Outreach, you will work under the supervision of the Manager to provide essential services to clients and their families. The position requires robust skills in coaching, advocacy, and support for individuals with mental health issues. You’ll help clients improve their daily living activities while actively documenting progress and responses to treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide outreach support for individuals needing mental health assistance • Teach life skills and motivate clients in daily activities • Monitor and report on clients’ progress and behaviors • Advocate for clients and their families in treatment plans • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive care
Requirements: • Diploma in Community Social Services or related field • Two years’ experience in mental health/substance use • Valid BC Drivers Licence and personal vehicle • Current CPR and Food Safe certificates • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
