Enhance the career readiness of international students at UBCO as a dedicated Career Development Specialist. Focus on integrated support strategies and creative programming tailored to their needs.
In this role, you will support international undergraduate and graduate students as they navigate their career paths. By collaborating with the Global Engagement Office, you will develop and evaluate workshops and programs that assist students in skill development and employment connections. Your ability to foster relationships with campus partners and employers will be crucial to these initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct career education sessions for all international students
• Design and facilitate career-related workshops and events
• Build partnerships with employers for student opportunities
• Collaborate on custom programs with academic faculties
• Assist in creating engaging digital career resources
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
• Minimum of three to four years experience
• Strong commitment to enhancing diversity and inclusion
• Experience with career advising and support
• Ability to engage students through digital platforms
