POSITION OVERVIEW

Central Smith is seeking a friendly, dependable, and enthusiastic employee to join our team in the Ice Cream Parlour for the remainder of the 2026 season.

This is a great opportunity for a individual who enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and wants to gain valuable experience in a busy, customer-focused environment.

Position: Seasonal Part-Time Parlour Staff

Start Date: Immediately

End Date: Thanksgiving 2026

Schedule: Thursday–Sunday, 11:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Hours: Approximately 25–30 hours per week

Wage: $19–$20 per hour

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The Parlour Staff member will help ensure that our guests have a positive and enjoyable experience at Central Smith.

Responsibilities include:

- Providing friendly, welcoming, and productive customer service

- Serving ice cream and other parlour products

- Operating the point-of-sale (POS) system and handling customer transactions

- Maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting parlour

- Restocking products and supplies as needed

- Preparing the parlour for opening and closing

- Following food safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures

- Responding to customer questions and requests in a professional manner

- Working cooperatively with other members of the Central Smith team

- Assisting with other tasks as needed during busy periods

SKILLS &

EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in customer service, food service, retail, or a similar environment would be an asset, but experience is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
