This position is responsible for completing products received from other departments and preparing finished items for shipment. The role supports production flow by maintaining material availability and product quality. Additional duties may be assigned or reassigned as operation needs require.
Key Responsibilities
· Follow all production procedures as instructed through SOP’s
· Understand and review the product through specified production process, recognizing areas of defect and taking appropriate actions to rectify them
· Perform all work to organizational standards to ensure final product meets quality standards
· Perform quality inspections as necessary
· Determine and report product and equipment malfunctions to the appropriate authority
· Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned work area at all times
· Assure the daily and weekly production schedule is adhered to
· Remove obstacles
· Assemble and finish parts
· Follow the safe work practices set by the company and OHS Alberta
Requirements
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with little supervision
- Solid communication skills
- Reliable attendance
- Capability to work independently with minimum supervision
· Ability to stand, crouch, bend and reach for long periods of time · Some heavy lifting and carrying will be required (30-50lbs)
· Manual dexterity required
- Developed fine motor control (grasp, handle, manipulate objects with fingers
- Bolt, screw, clip, weld, solder or otherwise fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipment
· Personal PPE as required by company requirements · Report daily production activities
