As a Bank Security Guard, you will help protect clients, employees, and assets by maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring activity within the branch, responding to incidents, and preventing security risks before they escalate.

Responsibilities for Bank Security Guard

- Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft, fraud, and disruptive behaviour within the bank branch.
- Monitor customers, visitors, and the banking floor for suspicious or unusual activity.




- Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, and customer assistance requests.
- Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols to ensure the safety of employees, clients, and bank property.
- Control access to staff-only and secure areas while verifying visitor and contractor identification.
- Complete accurate daily logs, incident reports, and detailed documentation of all security-related events.
- Support emergency procedures, including evacuations, alarms, and coordination with police, fire, or EMS when required.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting clients and providing a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications for Bank Security Guard

- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Hold a valid BC security license
- First aid certification - an asset
- Strong report writing skills
- Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
- Strong proficiency with technology
- Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
