As a senior security advisor, you help develop and optimize security measures to align with corporate objectives by planning, implementing and overseeing best practices to strengthen Desjardins's security posture. You help develop the Desjardins Group Security Office's priorities and governance, and work on different aspects of our security practices. You're responsible for one or more sub-specialties, such as personal information and data protection, information security, physical security and financial crime and fraud prevention.
You lead practitioners on development projects and innovative, complex, cross-sector strategic initiatives related to security. You help develop and recommend strategic directions and business positions. Your initiatives require extensive, in-depth knowledge in your field of expertise.
You make recommendations on the development and execution of projects and initiatives with a very high degree of operational and conceptual complexity. Coordination is critical as you are interacting with many stakeholders working in a wide range of fields. You serve as an expert advisor and subject matter expert, as well as a resource person and coach for senior management and decision-making bodies.
Lead large-scale development projects, initiatives and activities in your area of expertise that have a significant knock-on effect on the entire organization. Identify, develop and recommend security strategic directions to balance business needs, requirements and best practices. Advise your clients and partners to help them position, plan, develop, execute and monitor strategic projects and initiatives under your responsibility.
Develop and update policies, standards, models and programs to support your unit's strategic projects and initiatives. Offer security programs to internal employees to promote the organization's culture of ethics and compliance. Represent your unit before senior management committees and decision-making bodies.
