Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Security Technician, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding our facilities through expert installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems. Your technical expertise will ensure the integrity of security infrastructure, including CCTV, access control, sensors, and low voltage systems. You will work closely with our Locksmith as well as our clients to deliver reliable security solutions that protect assets and personnel.

Duties

- Install, configure, and maintain security systems such as CCTV cameras, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), sensors, and access control devices.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to ensure accurate system setup.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues related to computer hardware, telecommunication lines, power supplies, and low voltage wiring.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform system installations and repairs on various mechanical and electrical components.
- Conduct regular inspections of security infrastructure to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to integrate security systems seamlessly.
- Document all work performed through detailed reports,



including system configurations, repairs, and upgrades.

Experience

- Proven experience in security system installation or maintenance within construction or facilities management environments.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical or mechanical systems.
- Hands-on experience with CCTV systems, computer networking, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), sensors, and telecommunication wiring.
- Familiarity with low voltage wiring practices and electrical safety standards.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, drills, and power tools efficiently.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware components relevant to security systems setup and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of schematics for system integration across multiple platforms is highly desirable.

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
