We are an Edmonton-based engineering and design firm providing civil engineering, surveying, and design services for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Our projects range from small residential developments to larger multi-disciplinary developments. We are involved throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concepts and feasibility through detailed engineering design, approvals, construction, and project completion.

We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer who can take ownership of civil engineering projects and work independently while coordinating with clients, municipalities, contractors, surveyors, architects, geotechnical engineers, and other consultants.

Position Overview The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, management, and review of civil engineering designs for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

This is a hands-on senior position for someone who is comfortable taking a project from conceptual design through detailed design, municipal approvals, construction support, and completion.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and manage civil engineering designs for residential, commercial, and industrial developments.
- Develop conceptual and preliminary civil designs and progress them through detailed design.
- Prepare grading, drainage, stormwater management, servicing, utility, road, parking, and site development designs.
- Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Review and interpret municipal requirements, bylaws, standards, and design guidelines.
- Coordinate and communicate with municipalities, including the City of Edmonton and other approving authorities.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, geotechnical engineers, surveyors, contractors, developers, and other consultants.
- Review survey information, site conditions, geotechnical reports,



and existing infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, technologists, and technicians.
- Review drawings and engineering documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.
- Assist with project scheduling, coordination, budgeting, and client communication.
- Provide construction-phase engineering support and respond to technical inquiries and site issues.
- Conduct site reviews and inspections when required.
- Prepare and review engineering reports, letters, and submissions to municipalities.
- Take responsibility for assigned projects and ensure deliverables are completed on schedule and to a high professional standard.

Qualifications
- P.Eng. designation in Alberta, or eligible to obtain P.Eng. in Alberta.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant local/Canadian civil engineering experience.
- Experience with civil engineering design for residential, commercial, and/or industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of grading, drainage, stormwater management, site servicing, and municipal infrastructure.
- Familiarity with City of Edmonton requirements, standards, and approval processes is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of applicable Alberta and Canadian engineering standards and municipal requirements.
- Experience preparing engineering drawings, reports, calculations, and permit/submission packages.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.




- Ability to work independently and make sound engineering decisions.
- Strong attention to detail and technical problem-solving skills.

Technical Skills Experience with the following would be an asset:
- AutoCAD / Civil 3D
- Stormwater management and drainage design
- Site grading and earthwork
- Water and sanitary servicing
- Roadway and parking design
- Utility coordination
- Municipal development and engineering approvals
- Construction documentation and field review
- Engineering calculations and technical reports
