Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Network and Computer Technician to join our team. This role is vital in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing our clients' network and computer systems. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional IT support, ensuring network security, and resolving complex technical issues across various operating systems and hardware platforms.

Your expertise will help ensure seamless technology operations and excellent customer service for our clients.

Responsibilities

- Provide advanced technical support for network infrastructure, including LAN, firewall configurations, VPN, and operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, servers, and network devices to minimize downtime.
- Manage and support enterprise tools, ensuring accurate ticketing, incident tracking, and resolution documentation.
- Consistently deliver on performane metrics of 8 working hours and 6 client billable hours per day.
- Assist with the setup, deployment, and maintenance of computer hardware and peripherals while ensuring compatibility with existing systems and safeguarding of client data and applications.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve client issues efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through explicit communication and delivery of quality solutions.
- Conduct routine system audits, software troubleshooting, and updates across multiple operating systems to optimize performance and identify any required technology investment to mitigate business risk.

Qualifications




- 5+ years of hands-on MSP or IT service provider experience.
- Deep expertise with Windows Server, Active Directory, M365/Exchange Online administration, and Hyper-V/VMware.
- Proven experience with network firewalls, switches, VPNs, and NAS/SAN storage systems (e.g. Synology).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Ability to perform detailed troubleshooting for software issues across various platforms.
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Skilled (MCITP), or Cisco CCNA preferred.
