We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Senior Consultant to join our growing Asset Management Practice and become a trusted partner to clients as they optimize the performance of their assets worldwide.
As a Senior Consultant, you will:
- Deliver asset management optimization programs spanning reliability, maintenance, business systems, supply chain, and operational readiness.
- Build client capability through training, coaching, and performance management best practices.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations that drive continuous improvement and operational excellence of physical assets to maximize business value.
Key Responsibilities: The following are the detailed responsibilities of Senior Consultants within the Asset Management Practice.
Support the execution of asset management improvement programs in one or more of the following areas:
- Comprehensive asset management assessments
- Operational readiness and commissioning
- Maintenance and reliability optimization
- Asset data and business systems improvement
- Asset services and contracts optimization
- Supply chain optimization for asset management
- Definition and implementation of asset management frameworks
- Facilitate training on asset management services and methodologies.
- Coach client personnel on the effective use of performance management tools.
- Dedicate approximately 10% of your time to business development.
- Drive opportunities to improve OMS tools and service offerings.
- Support internal OMS initiatives.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of mining technology integrations and their applications.
- Uphold the OMS vision, values, and fundamentals.
- Comply with OMS standards and policies.
- Account for time and expenses monthly
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Required
- 10+ years of mining industry experience, with the majority focused on maintenance, reliability or asset management.
- Strong grounding in asset management principles.
- Thorough understanding of the end-to-end work management process, the metrics used to evaluate it, and what good process documentation looks like.
- Expert knowledge of at least three of the following methodologies: RCA, RCM, RBI, FMECA, RAM, LCC, or similar.
- Working understanding of the MRO supply chain and its role in maintenance execution, including spare parts, BOMs, and catalogue items, and how material availability affects work execution.
- Experience in business process reengineering or process definition: mapping and measuring current-state processes, analyzing them, and designing and implementing new ones.
- A track record of influencing and communicating effectively with internal and external clients, vendors, project teams, and senior management.
- Hands-on experience with a major CMMS/EAM module, preferably within SAP or JD Edwards.
- Experience working within site-level execution or planning teams in the mining industry.
- Ability to define and lead project-based workshops.
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A proactive, collaborative, problem-solving approach and the persistence to see outcomes through.
- Willingness and ability to travel more than 70% of the time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred:
- Proficiency in French, Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools like Power BI or Tableau.
